Rugby World Cup 2027 - Final tickets

The Rugby World Cup 2027 will be held in Australia. Australia has won their bid in 2022 and this allowed them to host the edition of 2027. The last time the Rugby World Cup was held in Australia was in 2003. The edition of 2027 will see a change in format: there will be two additional groups in the group phase and an extra round in the knockout phase. This opens the door to more rugby minded countries.

At this point in time it is unknown which format the tickets will be for the Rugby World Cup 2027. This will be announced by the organizing committee in a later phase. The prior RWC, which was held in France in 2023, were all E-tickets and were sent through email. When there are official updates about this subject we will inform you here.

 

Rugby World Cup 2027 - Final ticket categories

For the last three editions (RWC 2025 in England, RWC 2019 in Japan and RWC 2023 in France) the tournament has used four categories for this tournament. Category 1 generally offers the best seating of the stadium located on the long side of the stadium. Category 2 was typically located on the longside and more towards the corner blocks. Category 3 offers seats from behind the posts from mid height, ensuring a lovely perspective over the field. The last category used is Category 4 and these could be located on the bottom of the shortside or the upper side behind the posts. These seats are also known as get-ins. 


Rugby World Cup 2027 Opening Ceremony Pricing

For the Rugby World Cup 2023, ticket pricing was categorized as follows: Category 1 tickets were available for €950 each, offering the finest seating along the long side of the stadium for an exceptional viewing experience. Category 2 tickets were priced at €450 each and were typically situated on the long side, closer to the corner blocks, providing a good perspective of the action.

Category 3 tickets, at €200 each, offered seats located behind the posts at a mid-height level, ensuring an excellent view of the field. Lastly, Category 4 tickets, available for €100 each, could be found at the lower level of the short side or in the upper section behind the posts. These tickets were often referred to as “get-ins,” making them a budget-friendly option for fans looking to witness the excitement of the tournament.
