Rugby World Cup 2027

The Rugby World Cup 2027 will be held in Australia. Australia has won their bid in 2022 and this allowed them to host the edition of 2027. The last time the Rugby World Cup was held in Australia was in 2003. The edition of 2027 will see a change in format: there will be two additional groups in the group phase and an extra round in the knockout phase. This opens the door to more rugby minded countries.

Rugby World Cup 2027 ticket information

RWC 2027 ticket format

At this point in time it is unknown which format the tickets will be for the Rugby World Cup 2027. This will be announced by the organizing committee in a later phase. The prior RWC, which was held in France in 2023, were all E-tickets and were sent through email.

RWC 2027 ticket categories

For the last three editions (RWC 2025 in England, RWC 2019 in Japan and RWC 2023 in France) the tournament has used four categories for this tournament. Category 1 generally offers the best seating of the stadium located on the long side of the stadium. Category 2 was typically located on the longside and more towards the corner blocks. Category 3 offers seats from behind the posts from mid height, ensuring a lovely perspective over the field. The last category used is Category 4 and these could be located on the bottom of the shortside or the upper side behind the posts. These seats are also known as get-ins.

More information about pricing for the RWC 2027 will follow in a later phase, when the tournament comes closer.
